A HUGE thank you to all of our Smith families for supporting our Boosterthon Fun Run!

What an incredible week it has been! From the daily character-building lessons to the excitement of Fun Run day, our students had such a fun and memorable experience. The energy, school spirit, and encouragement from our families made this week extra special.

We are thrilled to share that we met our fundraising goal thanks to your amazing support! Your generosity will directly help continue the wonderful programs and experiences that make Smith such a special place for our students.

And yes… that means the students officially earned the chance to watch me get slimed! I can’t wait to celebrate this with them. It is going to be so much fun!

Thank you again for your partnership, enthusiasm, and for always showing up for our Smith Surfers. We are so grateful for this amazing community.

Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th-grade Enrollment for the 2026–27 school year opens Friday, February 13, 2026, at 9:00 AM for new students joining Huntington Beach City School District (HBCSD).

Families are encouraged to visit the Enrollment website to review required documents and enrollment steps.

Please note that enrollment is not official until all required documentation has been submitted and verified by the school, and students may not attend until the process is complete.

Enrollment is for new students only. Returning HBCSD students will complete Data Confirmation in August.

As part of HBCSD’s Shoreline Standouts Staff Recognition Program, May spotlights Smith Elementary and Student Services. This monthly program celebrates the incredible people who go above and beyond to make our schools exceptional.

We invite staff and families to help us recognize a certificated or classified team member who supports others, brings their best every day, and makes a positive impact on our community.
