Did you know that the YMCA offers drop-in childcare? We are also open for full-day programs on many of the days that Smith Elementary School is closed. Spring Break is just around the corner. If you are looking for a fun, enrichment childcare program during the break, we offer full day care with a 3-day and 5-day schedule option. Smith YMCA is a before and after school program that includes these benefits and much more: 

  • Safe and Convenient- We are a licensed facility located right here on the Smith Elementary School campus. 
  • Homework Support- We have trained and qualified staff to help children with their homework. We support Distance Learning during modified school schedules. 
  • Group Sports - where children learn teamwork and the fundamentals of each sport and playgroup games: Flag Football, Soccer, Kickball, Basketball, Handball, Capture the Flag, etc. 
  • Indoor Clubs- Drama, Cooking, Art, Science, Engineering, Meteorology, E-Sports, American Sign Language, Keeping Fit, etc. 

Kindergarten Child Care:
The YMCA teachers conduct enrichment activities that build upon the school district kindergarten curriculum standards.  

The YMCA offers a curriculum that includes Arts and Humanities, Character Development, Health, Wellness and Fitness, Homework Support, Literacy, Science and Technology, Social Competence and conflict resolution, Service learning projects, and Family Events. This is a year-round program that is licensed by the state of CA. Financial Assistance is also available to those that qualify." 

Summer Program

Summer camp at Smith YMCA “Broadcasting Brilliance”. Spend the summer having fun, through exciting and recreational activities, field trips, challenges, art, and more. Campers will learn some of life's most necessary skills, like resiliency, positivity, adaptability, relationship building, and caring for others. Summer Camp starts on 6/25/24.
